DUO BESNE
DUO BESNE
United by a deep passion for chamber music, DUO BESNE was founded in 2018 at the prestigious Mozarteum University in Salzburg. They came together as a duo under the guidance of the renowned Stephen Fitzpatrick, principal harpist of the Staatskapelle Berlin, whose mentorship helped shape their artistic vision. Now based in Malmö, Sweden, they continue their musical journey, performing a diverse repertoire that ranges from classical masterpieces to vibrant tangos, sharing their artistry with audiences everywhere.
"Attending a concert by Duo Boreal is a wonderful and unforgettable experience. The young and talented Claudia Besné (harp) and Eva Calvo (guitar) possess a sensitive musicality and flawless technique. More than a promise, they are already a magnificent reality in the world of classical music. I wish them the brilliant career they deserve."

The program is based on original symphonic repertoire, but it has been adapted into a chamber music format with the intention of making it more accessible to broader audiences and suitable for a wider variety of performance venues. This approach allows the ensemble to preserve the artistic depth and richness of the music while offering a more intimate and approachable listening experience.
