BIOGRAPHY

Renowned for their talent, musicality, and impeccable technique, Dúo Boreal has established an impressive concert schedule for the 2024/2025 season. Their presence has been announced in prestigious series such as MusaE, Donostia Musika, Ricardo Requejo at Amaia KZ in Irun, and Abril en la Capilla at the Museum of Navarra. Additionally, they have been invited to perform at the European Heritage Days, a recognition of their growing significance in the cultural scene. Internationally, their reach extends to the renowned Noten op de Noen festival in the Netherlands, reaffirming their presence on Europe’s most prominent stages.

Founded in 2019 at the prestigious Universität Mozarteum in Salzburg, Dúo Boreal was born from the artistic connection and shared passion for chamber music between its members. Under the guidance of the celebrated performer Isabel Siewers, they forged an artistic vision that combines technical excellence with unique interpretative sensitivity.

From the outset, they have enriched their training by collaborating with notable figures such as Stephen Fitzpatrick, principal harpist of the Staatskapelle Berlin, and concert guitarist Laura Young. Their dedication to learning and excellence was recognized in their early months, when they won third prize in the Savarez-Corelli competition.

With a repertoire spanning from Baroque to contemporary music, Dúo Boreal masterfully blends historical rigor with fresh, emotive interpretations. Their performances captivate diverse audiences, establishing them as prominent figures in the current world of chamber music.
