Described by music authorities as a remarkable and sensitive performer, deeply musical, with extraordinary technical mastery of her instrument and significant international projection despite her youth, Claudia Besné performs as a soloist throughout Europe and collaborates with orchestras such as the Malmö Opera, Rioja Filarmonia, and Female Symphonic Orchestra Austria; and chamber music groups, being member of Duo BOREAL, and NUMEA Duo. Her forthcoming concerts as a soloist will include her participation in cycles such as Sábados músicales, Medieta Kultura, and Jóvenes Interpretes Fundación Juan March.
As a soloist, she has participated in international festivals such as Quincena Musical de San Sebastián and Noia Harp Fest, as well as concert series like MusaE and Musiklasik. She has also collaborated with the Orquesta Andrés Egiguren, premiering Aita Madina's Concerto for Harp and Orchestra in November 2022, and has performed Handel's Harp Concerto and Vivaldi's rv93 Concerto with chamber orchestra numerous times. In January 2023, she was a guest musician at the Norwegian Young Musicians Competition awards ceremony (Oslo, Norway), invited by EMCY. In February 2020, she was invited to conduct a Masterclass at the Conservatorio Juan Crisóstomo de Arriaga (Bilbao).
Throughout her career, she has received numerous accolades, notably the prestigious Nicanor Zabaleta Scholarship, the BecasCh de Estudio, and the 3rd Prize in the 6th International Competition of the Slovenian Harp Association. She has also been an active musician at Live Music Now Salzburg; a member of professional orchestras like Philharmonie Salzburg and youth orchestras like EGO and JONDE; and has received masterclasses from renowned musicians such as Cibrán Sierra (Quiroga Quartet), Isabelle Perrin, Anneleen Lenaerts, Gabriella Dall'olio, Letizia Belmondo, Fabrice Pierre, among others.
Born in 1997 in Donostia, Claudia began her musical studies at Conservatorio Francisco Escudero and in 2015 was admitted to Mozarteum University Salzburg, in the class of Stephen Fitzpatrick, principal harpist of the Staatskapelle Berlin, where she obtained her bachelor's, master's, and postgraduate degrees in performance. Additionally, she earned a Master's in Music Pedagogy from UNIR in 2022.
